Who doesn’t love receiving a handprint artwork made by the special little ones in your life? I definitely do! I also love creating these fun printables so you can make a beautiful artwork together with your child.

Why do I love handprint art? First of all, they are extremely easy to make and even babies can participate. In fact, your child’s contribution to the artwork (adding their hand print) is probably the most important part of the entire piece.

I just LOVE that the child’s participation is absolutely crucial to the completion of the card.

On top of that, these adorable cards are super meaningful and special to the ones receiving them (cue oohs and aaahs).

How to Make SIMPLE THANKSGIVING Hand print Craft

  1. First, print out THE CUTEST PUMPKIN PRINTABLE (Link at bottom of post) on white card stock. Using cardstock adds durability if you are not planning to frame or laminate.
  2. Second, pour out non-toxic washable paint on a paper plate. I recommend using fall colors such as red, orange, or gold as it goes nicely with the pumpkin. However, if your child has a different favorite color they would rather use, feel free to use another color. It is after all, their artwork!
  3. Next, use a foam brush to evenly paint both of child’s hand (or feet).
  4. Then, help the child make their hand prints (or foot prints), one on either side of the pumpkin.
  5. Allow hand print to dry.
  6. Cut out a photo of the child (if using). Feel free to cut it out in any shape you’d like!
  7. Glue child’s photo over the pumpkin and allow to dry.
  8. Sign child’s name (or have the child sign their name if they can), and you are finished!
