Easy DIY Teacher Gifts: “Thank you for Helping me Grow” (Free Printable)

These cute little potted plant makes a great teacher’s appreciation gift to remind teachers how amazing they are. Includes 4 different designs to say a BIG “Thank You”!

“Thank you”. It’s amazing how two little words can make such a difference in a person’s life. As someone who’s been on the receiving end of gratitude, I truly believe it’s one of those words that you never tire of hearing. And I bet I’m not the only one!

This year, my toddler didn’t get to attend childcare since the whole world pretty much shut down, so he didn’t get to interact with any teachers or childcare workers for me to thank. However, thankfully this year I was still able to participate in virtual BSF and I had a fantastic group leader whom I am very appreciative of.

For those who don’t now what BSF is, it stands for Bible Study Fellowship. BSF is weekly bible study group that is unaffiliated with any church. There is a lesson plan (based on the bible passage you study) that you work through each week. Then once a week you gather with with other bsf participants to discuss what you learned (or any questions you may have) from the bible reading. Thank you for helping me grow Teacher Appreciation Gift Tag Image

As our bible study comes to an end, I wanted give my leader a little something to show her my appreciation. I really liked the potted plant and tag that says “Thank You for helping me grow” idea. It’s so fitting because by leading our discussions and praying for us, she definitely helped us GROW closer to God!

So I got busy and designed some tags that you can print and stick on a pop sickle stick for the potted plants. And if you know me…I’m extremely indecisive. So I ended up coming with 4 designs (even though the original plan was just 1) because I just couldn’t decide! Because well…maybe one design looks better on one plant and another one with another plant…(inner dialogue of the indecisive person).

This little appreciation gift is so easy to make and only requires a few materials that you probably already have in the house. The only item you may need to purchase is a good looking pot of plant. I say “good looking” because while I do own a few potted plants, they either look thin and twiggly or are overgrowing their pots…..

Anyway, I love that this gift is only great for teachers at school, but also for sports coaches, librarians, Sunday School Teachers, and other special people who invested in your kids (or you!) When we show appreciation for others, it also reminds us to be grateful. And a heart full of gratitude gives us to a joyful attitude!
